Despite Babar Azam's 90-run innings in the first phase of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 9 runs.

 

In pursuit of Peshawar Zalmi's target of 174 runs, Karachi Kings scored 164 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 90 runs.

It should be noted that this is the fourth consecutive defeat of Karachi in this event.
