Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates arrived in Pakistan today on his first one-day visit, where he was awarded the Hilal Pakistan award.

A special ceremony was held at the Presidency to honor Bill Gates at the Presidency in recognition of his services to the welfare of the Pakistani people and to the anti-polio campaign.

Earlier, Bill Gates, co-chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), met Imran Khan at the Prime Minister's Office.
The Prime Minister also hosted a luncheon in honor of Bill Gates.
Visit to NCOC
Bill Gates accompanied the delegation to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) and met with Chairman Asad Umar and Dr. Faisal Sultan, after which they attended the NCOC meeting.

Bill Gates and his delegation were briefed on the role and modalities of the NCOC, its achievements since the beginning of the Corona epidemic, and the latest Corona situation across Pakistan.
The meeting was also briefed by the NCOC on various non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) for controlling the spread of Corona epidemic and ensuring public safety and welfare.
The visiting delegation was given a comprehensive analysis of Pakistan's efforts against the Corona epidemic.

Bill Gates expressed keen interest in the various initiatives of the NCOC, particularly the implementation of the Smart Lockdown and Micro Smart Lockdown Strategy, and Pakistan's vaccine administration, which has helped the NCOC to control the Corona epidemic. Earlier, Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, informed about the visit of Bill Gates to Pakistan on social networking site Twitter.
He said in his tweet that Bill Gates would review progress on polio eradication efforts during his visit and would also meet with President Dr Arif Ali and provincial health officials.
It should be noted that in the past also Bill Gates has discussed various issues with Prime Minister Imran and their possible solutions.
In October last year, the Prime Minister urged Bill Gates to consider providing assistance to the poor in Afghanistan.
