In the second eliminator of the 7th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United and made it to the final.
Lahore Qalandars' 169-run target was not achieved by Islamabad United and the entire team was bowled out in the last overs and thus Qalandars won the match by 6 runs and reached the PSL final.
Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first in the match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The innings started by Lahore Qalandars was disappointing and already in the over Fakhruzzaman was dismissed for one run and Dawson also returned to the pavilion for two runs.
Thanks to the responsible batting of Abdullah Shafiq, Kamran Ghulam and Muhammad Hafeez, Lahore Qalandars scored 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
