In the second round of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 24 runs.
In pursuit of the target of 186 runs, Quetta Gladiators scored 161 runs in the allotted 20 overs, while Will Smaid remained prominent by scoring 99 runs.
In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Zalmai's captain Wahab Riaz won the toss and elected to bat first.

After losing 2 wickets, Muhammad Haris and veteran batsman Shoaib Malik formed a 52-run partnership. However, Harris was dismissed for 29 off 17 balls while Shoaib Malik played an innings of 58 runs.

In addition, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 10 runs, Quetta Gladiators scored 161 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and Zalmi won by 24 runs.
