 In the final match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans and clinched the title for the first time.

 In pursuit of Lahore Qalandars' 181-run target, Multan Stans were bowled out for 138 in the 20th over. Khushdal Shah stood out with 32 runs.


 In the final played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first.


 Qalandars scored 180 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to the responsible batting of Mohammad Hafeez and aggressive batting of Brooke and Visa in the closing overs. Hafeez remained prominent by scoring 69 off 46 balls.

Lahore Qalandars innings


 Lahore Qalandars innings did not start well. Only the top 3 batsmen returned to the pavilion with a total score of 25 runs. Fakhr Zaman 3, Abdullah Shafiq 14 and Zeeshan Ashraf scored 7 runs.


 After losing 3 wickets, Hafeez and Kamran Ghulam formed a 54-run partnership. However, on a total score of 79, Kamran was dismissed for 15. However, on the other hand, Hafeez played a responsible innings but he also scored 69 off 46 balls. ۔


 Qalandars scored 180 runs in the allotted overs thanks to the aggressive batting of Harry Brook and David Visa in the closing overs.


 Harry Brook scored 41 off 22 balls while David Visa scored 28 off 8 balls.


 For the Sultans, Asif Afridi took 3 wickets while David Willie and Shahnawaz Dhani took one wicket each.

 In pursuit of the target of 181 runs, the batsmen of Sultans could not play hard and returned to the pavilion one after the other. Openers Shaun Masood and captain Rizwan could not give victory to their team this time.


 Riley Rousseau (15), Amir Azmat (6) and Asif Afridi (1) returned to the pavilion with one run each.


 Tim David was dismissed for 27 while Khushdal Shah was dismissed for 32. The entire team was bowled out for 138 in the 20th over.


 For Qalandars, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 3 wickets while Mohammad Hafeez and Zaman Khan took 2 wickets each.


 Before the toss, the closing ceremony of PSL 7 was held at Gaddafi Stadium in which Chairman PCB Rameez Raja thanked all the organizers including security agencies for the excellent organization of the event.


 The trophy was also unveiled.
