Opposition Ittehad-e-Pakistan Democratic Movement and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PPP Parliamentarians President Asif Ali Zardari and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif announced in a joint press conference that the no-confidence motion. According to sources, a press conference was to be held by the three political leaders at 4.30 pm today but it started late.

Initiating the press conference, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif said that the devastation caused to the economy by the Prime Minister-elect for four and a half years was unprecedented.

Addressing the press conference, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the opposition Ittehad-e-Pakistan Democratic Movement and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, said that a week after the 2018 elections, a consensus had been reached that the people's mandate was robbed in the 2018 elections.

He said that the march was a continuation of the struggle which had raised awareness in the nation. We are not ashamed of our position in front of the nation. I'm talking, we're talking about Europe, we know, we know your identity.

"Don't resort to popular slogans, you are abusing us in the assembly but the opposition is united in the national interest, the no-confidence motion will succeed, the nation will be saved," he said.

Fazlur Rehman said that we stand with democracy, we want to strengthen Pakistan, there is no enmity with anyone in our country, the country has to be taken forward, the truth we told has come true, we are successful Believe that the no-confidence motion will succeed and the nation will hear the good news.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari apologized for the late start of the press conference and said that journalists disagreed with me for five years, even slandered, we tolerated.

He said that no single party can take Pakistan out with difficulty, we have to work together, we will invite all our friends and liberate future generations from this difficulty.

He further said that even his friends of PTI are disgusted with him.

It may be recalled that the opposition has filed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly Secretariat.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the PML-N parliamentary party was held in which the PML-N leadership has directed all members to stay in Islamabad for the next 20 days.

Sources said that the league leadership told its members that next 3 weeks are very important so absence from Islamabad will not be tolerated in any case.
