A press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that left-arm spinner Asif Afridi and wicket-keeper-batsman Mohammad Haris have been approved by the selectors for their outstanding performance in the domestic circuit. Muhammad Haris was included in the Pakistan squad for the home series against New Zealand but the series could not be played at that time as the Kiwis had returned home on the opening day of the series.

Australia is at No. 3 in the ODI rankings while they are the world champions of T20. On the other hand, Pakistan cricket team is at the sixth and third position in 50 overs and 20 overs formats respectively.

It should be noted that the first ODI against Pakistan and Australia will be played on March 29, the second ODI on March 31 and the third ODI on April 2 in Rawalpindi while the short format T20 International match will be played on April 5 in Rawalpindi.

It is to be noted that a series consisting of 3 Test matches is going on between Pakistan and Australia. The first two matches of the series have been drawn.

Earlier, the first Test between the two teams was played in Rawalpindi which was also drawn.

The third and final match of the series between the two teams will be played in Lahore from March 21.
