Former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the decision to make Usman Bazdar Chief Minister was made by Imran Khan on one side and the entire PTI on the other side. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that he went to every constituency in the country and in Punjab and held meetings for PTI and made Imran Khan the Prime Minister of the country.
He said that I, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan were candidates for the Chief Ministership, Fawad Chaudhry could also become the Chief Minister but Imran Khan decided that only Usman Bazdar could create a new Pakistan. Yet we controlled our emotions.

Chaudhry Sarwar said that the whole of Pakistan saw what spectacles took place in Punjab in the new Pakistan and how Usman Bazdar was building a new Pakistan. PTI workers all over the world including Pakistan were sighing at this choice.
He said that in Punjab, IG, Chief Secretary was changed every 3 months and jobs were being sold. This has never happened in the history of Pakistan.

He said that today the roads in the whole of Punjab are broken, bribery at the grassroots level has increased many times, but we stood with Imran Khan with a stone on our heart.
He said that now it was decided to replace Usman Bazdar, PTI has 184 people who became MPA on PTI ticket, out of which Imran Khan did not like any of the people whom he made Chief Minister. He nominated a person who is not a part of PTI.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that the decision was a slap in the face to the 184 members of the PTI Assembly who had nominated a person who had been blackmailing the PTI for three and a half years. He mocked the Prime Minister in his interviews. The Prime Minister was blackmailed by the man who had 9 MPAs in the Assembly.

"I was accused of deliberately postponing the assembly session at the behest of the opposition. I want to say today that I had two meetings with the Prime Minister. The former governor of Punjab said that there is a danger that it will not be reported in the newspapers tomorrow that Chaudhry Sarwar is also a part of global conspiracy. He said that after the European Union, the United States is also our important trading partner. We must go to Russia but we cannot spoil our relations with the United States. Please don't bring world politics into national politics for God's sake.
It should be noted that the removal of Chaudhry Sarwar was announced this morning by Federal Minister for Information and Law Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet on micro-blogging website Twitter.

Just hours after the federal government fired Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar from his post, Omar Sarfraz Cheema was appointed the new governor of Punjab.
It may be recalled that the Governor of Punjab was removed from his post at a time when the Leader of the House ie Chief Minister is to be elected in the Provincial Assembly today.
It may be recalled that a no-confidence motion was filed against former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on March 28 by the opposition parties PML-N and PPP in Punjab.
On the same day, Usman Bazdar had submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan, about whom the PML-Q had claimed that the resignation of the Chief Minister had been accepted.

At the same time, the Prime Minister had nominated Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the PTI candidate for the Chief Ministership in Punjab and he was also given the responsibility of persuading the dissident members to thwart the motion in the National Assembly. ۔
Later on April 1, the Governor of Punjab accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Usman Bazdar and convened a meeting of the Punjab Assembly on Saturday, April 2, the agenda of which included the election of the Leader of the House.
However, the session of the Punjab Assembly scheduled for Saturday was adjourned till today without the election of the Chief Minister due to the commotion of the opposition and government members.
