Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has decided not to increase the prices of petroleum products.

According to government sources, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has rejected the I&G Regulatory Authority (OGRA) summary of increase in prices of petroleum products.
Government sources said that there would be no change in the prices of petroleum products. Government sources said that the government will bear the burden itself, the burden will not be placed on the people.
Notification issued to maintain prices of petroleum products
On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance has issued a notification to maintain the prices of petroleum products. According to the notification, the price of petrol will remain at Rs 149.86 per liter while the price of diesel will be Rs 144.15 per liter.
The price of kerosene will remain at Rs 125.56 per liter while the price of light diesel oil will remain at Rs 118.31 per liter.
Prices apply for the next 15 days.
It may be recalled that OGRA had proposed to increase the price of petrol up to Rs. An increase of Rs 56 paise was proposed.
According to sources, on the basis of full levy and tax, it was proposed to increase the price of light diesel by Rs 77.31 per liter.
