Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during his visit to Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore has announced a two-month reduction in the sentences of prisoners across Pakistan.

During his visit, the Prime Minister urged the prison authorities to make effective use of the resources available for the convenience of the inmates so that the basic needs of the inmates could be met.
He announced the formation of a committee headed by Home Minister Rana Sanaullah to formulate a comprehensive strategy for improving facilities and overall system for inmates in jails.
The committee, headed by Rana Sanaullah, will include officers representing the four provinces.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid a surprise visit to Ramzan Bazaar in Johar Town, Lahore.
During his visit, the Prime Minister directed the people to ensure the provision of food items at affordable prices during the month of Ramadan.
'PKLI created to serve the poor, save valuable foreign exchange'
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also visited Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) Hospital Lahore and reviewed the facilities available to patients there.

During the visit to the hospital, the Prime Minister was briefed about the state-of-the-art treatment facilities available to patients in the Special Treatment Unit.
Talking to media on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that this hospital was built by us to serve the poor. Before the construction of this hospital, Pakistani people used to go to India and China for treatment. Built a hospital
He said that only 17% of the patients were treated free of cost at PKLI Hospital.
The Prime Minister said that we were accused of wasting so much money and wasting national resources by building this hospital. Out of 20 billion rupees, not even 20 paise of corruption could be recovered.
He said that I was kept in the penitentiaries of NAB, I saved crores of rupees from this hospital, it is sad why there is lack of facilities here. Why is money being taken from patients?

He said that PKLI is for the people of the whole country, PKLI has 20 operating units.
Shahbaz Sharif said that he had ordered machinery for this hospital through a philanthropist.
He said that this hospital was built to serve the people of the country without any discrimination and we should destroy it only because it was built during the rule of Nawaz Sharif. does.
He said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide free treatment to the poor and deserving people, therefore this hospital was built, I will take a closer look at the affairs of the hospital in the next 48 hours.
