Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on US Congresswoman Alhan Omar where the importance of Pak-US relations was highlighted and expressed his desire to further strengthen bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, trust and equality.

According to a report by the official news agency APP, during a meeting with visiting US Congressman Alhan Omar, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that constructive relations between the two countries could help promote peace, security and development in the region. ۔
Alhan Omar, one of the first two Muslim women to be elected senator in the United States, arrived in Islamabad this morning on a two-day visit to Pakistan.
After arriving in Pakistan, Omar met President Dr. Arif Alvi, former Prime Minister and Chairman PTI Imran Khan, National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf and Foreign Office officials and other officials including the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
