In the Indian state of Uttarakhand, elderly parents have filed a lawsuit against their son and daughter-in-law for not having children.
According to Indian news agency Asian News International (ANI), Sanjeev, an elderly man from Uttar Khand, and his wife Sadhna Prasad have filed a case against their son and daughter-in-law in a court of law for not having children.
The elderly couple has said in the lawsuit that if their son and daughter-in-law do not have a child within a year, they should be compensated Rs 5 crore.

While filing the lawsuit, the couple told the media that they got their son married in 2016 in the hope that they would find a grandson or granddaughter in old age, but this did not happen.

She wept and said that she had spent all her savings on her son and got him married with high hopes that he would soon have a grandson or granddaughter but that did not happen.
He made it clear that he did not care about sex, he just wanted to have a grandson or granddaughter.
Both have made the son and daughter-in-law parties in the case and demanded that they give birth to a child within a year, otherwise they should pay them Rs 5 crore as compensation.
