Leading model and singer Ian Ali, who gained notoriety in a 'dollar smuggling' case, has slammed former Prime Minister Imran Khan for mentioning her at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally, saying that she was against him. False accusations do not make your speech and news.

At a PTI meeting in Attock yesterday, Imran Khan had criticized the PPP and the PML-N, saying that in the case of model Ian Ali, he had also killed the customs investigating officer.
In a series of tweets from a Twitter account attributed to a well-known model after Ian Ali name was mentioned in a PTI meeting, the chairman of PTI was told that 'lies should be told for 7 years or 700 years, one day. In his tweets, Ian Ali added: "For a year, everyone, including your friend Chaudhry Nisar, knew that the deceased was not involved in my case and was killed in a robbery. A year later, when I won all the cases, he was killed. I was also accused of terrorism provisions were also imposed from above.
He further wrote, "I have fought and won this case in Sessions Court, Anti-Terrorism Court, High Court and Supreme Court. Everywhere it has been proved that I am not an accused in this case. Free, do you know who was on this bench? Justice Saqib Nisar and Sheikh Azmat Saeed, whom you praised.
Ian Ali further said that after my acquittal up to the Supreme Court, if your suspect had a brain disorder, he would have re-investigated or appealed in his ill-fated 4-year tenure. As Prime Minister, Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Bilawal or I could not legally say anything, now they started begging us for TRP.
"What I endured in these false cases was described by the High Court as a unique example of deliberate targeting and a national tragedy. It may be recalled that model Ian Ali was arrested on March 14, 2015 on his way to Dubai from Bezar International Airport in Islamabad and 5 500,000 was recovered from him.
It was only after this incident that she was nicknamed 'Dollar Smuggling Girl' and she remained in jail for at least 4 months and her case was also the most important case in the country.
Her name was added to the Exit Control List (ECL), including the indictment, and she continued to face the case in the courts until February 2017.
The Supreme Court later allowed her to go abroad, after which she left for Dubai on February 17, 2017.
The smuggling case against him was not over and he was released on bail. In March 2019, the Supreme Court, while hearing his case, said in its remarks that the accused were found to be involved in currency smuggling.
Model Ian Ali, who went abroad after being granted bail in a currency smuggling case, has been less active on social media in recent years, but she has once again become the subject of news after retaliatory criticism of Imran Khan.
