DIG East, Muqaddas Haider, while confirming the death of Amir Liaquat, said that the member of National Assembly had fallen ill at night and this morning when his condition worsened, he was shifted to Aga Khan Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Confirmed
He said that the body of Amir Liaquat was being shifted to Jinnah Hospital for postmortem.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf adjourned the sitting till 5 pm on Friday after receiving the news of the demise of the Member National Assembly.

It should be noted that Amir Liaquat Hussain had been facing serious problems in his private life for some time.
Amir Liaquat was first married to Dr. Bushra, with whom he has a son and a daughter, who are over 20 years old.
Dr. Bushra Iqbal had confirmed in December 2020 that her husband had divorced her.
Aamir Liaquat had his second marriage in July 2018 with model and actress Tobia Anwar who was many years younger than him and their marriage lasted for less than 4 years.
In February this year, Tobia Anwar had confirmed that she had divorced Amir Liaquat, but Amir Liaquat continued to deny this.
Aamir Liaquat was married for the third time in February 2022 to Dania Shah, an 18-year-old girl from Bahawalpur, who had filed for divorce in a local court in early May last year.

After Dania Shah filed for divorce, Aamir Liaquat leaked his alleged audio and later Dania Shah also leaked the alleged audio and video of Amir Liaquat and both of them made serious allegations against each other.
Later on May 16, 2022, Amir Liaquat accepted defeat and apologized to Dania Shah and announced to leave Pakistan, however, he did not give a date for leaving the country.
Amir Liaquat had won a seat in the National Assembly on an MQM ticket in 2002 and was also the Minister of State for Religious Affairs.
He was expelled from the MQM in 2008 for violating party policy, but his party membership was restored within a few years.
After staying away from politics for more or less 8 years, in 2016 he once again became active in politics as in the past. He had parted ways and said that he would never enter politics again.
However, he soon reversed his decision not to return to politics and announced his joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in March 2018, after which he was elected to the National Assembly from Karachi on a PTI ticket.

Amir Liaquat had been working in the media industry for many years now. In 2001, he joined Geo TV, where he hosted a religious program, Aalam Online, which made him very popular.
Over the past few years, Amir Liaquat has hosted Ramadan transmissions on both Geo TV and Bollywood News. The last show he did on TV was 'Ball House with Aamir Liaquat'.
In her career as a television host, she has faced numerous controversies.
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) had also temporarily banned several of his shows for hate speech. In 2018, the Islamabad High Court barred him from appearing on electronic media.
A series of condolences
As soon as the news of Amir Liaquat's death was heard, a series of condolences started from the politicians.
President Dr. Arif Alvi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sudden death of Amir Liaquat.
In a statement released on Twitter, he prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and for higher ranks.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the demise of Amir Liaquat Hussain and prayed for his forgiveness.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also expressed grief over the death of Amir Liaquat.
He said that Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain led a dynamic life from journalism to politics.
He further said that he was shocked by the news of death of Amir Liaquat Hussain.
Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Khan Durrani also expressed condolences on the demise of National Assembly member Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain.
In their separate condolence messages to the bereaved family, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of the late Member National Assembly and paid tribute to his political and social services.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker said that the services of late Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain will be remembered in future also.
He prayed that Allah Almighty grant the soul of the deceased a high position in Paradise and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Sindh governor Imran Ismail said that Amir Liaquat played an important role in the PTI's political journey.
He said that even after Amir Liaquat resigned from the party, he always maintained good relations with his party members.
Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid also expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of the National Assembly member and prayed for patience for his family.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Amir Liaquat.
The Chief Minister of Sindh has prayed for the forgiveness and high ranks of the deceased.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan offered condolences to the family of Amir Liaquat.
He said that may Allah forgive them and grant patience to their families and loved ones.
TRT reporter Ali Mustafa recalled Amir Liaquat for "using the power of the media to woo the people of Pakistan".
Journalist Hamid Mir shared an old tweet of Amir Liaquat and wrote, “When someone leaves this world, his good deeds should be remembered. May Allah forgive Amir Liaquat Sahib and make his journey to the Hereafter easier. Amen.
