Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif lashed out at the ministers and officials over the prolonged power outages across the country.
The Prime Minister chaired a meeting on policy measures for resolving the issue of load shedding and energy conservation.
According to a tweet from the Prime Minister's Office's official Twitter account, the meeting in Lahore was also attended by federal ministers and officials of relevant ministries.
The Prime Minister said in the meeting that people are in trouble due to 8 to 10 hours of load shedding, no explanation is required, citizens should be evacuated with difficulty.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the ministers and officials to minimize load shedding in all cases.
PTI govt disappoints Gwadar people
Earlier, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had disappointed the people of Gwadar and failed to complete a single project of electricity / water for the local people.
"During my recent visit to Gwadar, I realized how the PTI government harmed the people of Gwadar," he said in a series of tweets on the social networking site Twitter.
"Apart from wasting billions of rupees and precious time, the previous government failed to complete a single project of electricity and water for the local people of Gwadar who sacrificed for the construction of the port," he wrote.

The Prime Minister further said that the situation is similar at Goradar Airport and Gwadar Port as no large cargo ship can dock due to non-dredging at the port.
"I have issued instructions to complete the immediate construction of Gwadar University, airport and desalination plant for water," he said.
Concluding the series of tweets, the Prime Minister said that I can say with full confidence that the overall development of Pakistan is linked to peace, stability and development of Balochistan.

He said that our coalition government, with the full cooperation of the provincial government of Balochistan and local elders, is committed to charting a course of action for the future.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had yesterday termed the pace of development work in Gwadar as unsatisfactory and said that even after many years we have not been able to complete Gwadar Airport and provide drinking water to the people of Gwadar. Not Available.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of East Bay Express in Gwadar, the Prime Minister had said that he visited the construction work in Gwadar by air and reviewed other development works including Gwadar Airport being constructed with Chinese grant.

He said that we have reviewed the ongoing development works in collaboration with the Chief Minister of China and the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the pace of work here is not satisfactory. The foundation was laid, it is still in the process of construction, although it has been given to us as a gift by the President and Prime Minister of China, but we have not been able to complete it.
Earlier, while addressing the officers on the occasion of his visit to the Command and Staff College in Quetta, the Prime Minister had emphasized that the defense of the country was sacred and Pakistan's security, sovereignty and integrity would be ensured in all circumstances.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan's Armed Forces are the guarantor of peace, internal and external security, regional stability and are also playing their role in global peace efforts.

Paying homage to the achievements and sacrifices of the Armed Forces, he said that our achievements in the war on terror were unprecedented which was well acknowledged by the world.
He said that the Armed Forces had always rendered commendable services to the nation during natural calamities, after which the Prime Minister laid a wreath at the memorial.
