The federal government has once again increased the price of petrol by 6 rupees 72 paisa per liter while changing the prices of petroleum products.
In the announcement issued by the Ministry of Finance, it has been said that in the light of the changes in oil prices and exchange rates in the international market, the government has decided to pass on the effects of changes in the prices of petroleum products to the people.

The statement said that the change in the prices of petroleum products will be implemented from August 16.
According to the Ministry of Finance, after the increase in the price of petrol per liter by 6 rupees 72 paise, the new price will be 233 rupees 91 paise.
The government has reduced the price of high speed diesel by 51 paise and the new price will be Rs 244 44 paise.
Similarly, the price of kerosene has been reduced by one rupee 67 paise per liter and the new price has been set at Rs 199 40 paise per liter.
The federal government has also increased the price of light diesel oil by 43 paise and the new price will be Rs 191 75 paise.
Earlier, on July 31, the government had announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 3.5 paise per liter and an increase in the price of diesel by Rs 8.95 paise.
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said in a tweet that the government can reduce the price of petrol by 3 rupees 5 paise per liter, but the price of diesel is being increased by 8 rupees 95 paise.
He said that the reduction in the prices of petroleum products will be applied from 12 pm tonight.
