Pakistan won the three-match series 0-3 after defeating the Netherlands by 9 runs in a thrilling third and final ODI.


In the match played in Rotterdam, Naseem Shah took 5 wickets for the first time by giving 33 runs for Pakistan, on which he was declared the best player of the match.

Chasing the target of 207 runs, the Netherlands did not get off to a good start and the first 3 wickets fell for just 37 runs.

However, due to Tom Cooper's 62 runs and Vikramjeet Singh's 50 runs from the Netherlands side, the match entered an interesting phase.

The host team needed 14 runs in the last over to win the match with one wicket remaining, but Mohammad Wasim dismissed Aryan Dutt on the second ball after taking a four on the first ball.

Earlier, in the third and final match of the ODI series against the Netherlands, Pakistan won the toss and were bowled out for 206 runs in 49.4 overs.

Pakistan team captain Babar Azam once again batted responsibly and got out after playing a brilliant innings of 91 runs off 125 balls.

Babar Azam performed well in the series, he scored 74 runs in the first match, 57 runs in the second match and 91 runs in the third and last match, but he could not score a century in the series.

Earlier Pakistan team did not start well and in the second over Abdullah Shafiq could score 2 runs, he was bowled by Kangma.

Fakhar Zaman also failed to impress and lost his wicket for an individual score of 26, bowled by Van Beek.

When Fakhar Zaman got out, Pakistan team scored 58 runs for the loss of 2 players in 17.2 overs.

Pakistan team played at a slow pace and scored only 85 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 25 overs, with Babar Azam and Salman Ali Agha at the crease.

However, Salman Ali Agha also failed to play a big innings.

Khushdil Shah was run out on a total score of 122.

Mohammad Haris, who was included in the team in place of wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan, scored 4 runs and was caught out by Cooper on the ball of D-Lead.

Babar Azam also got out after playing a good innings when the team total reached 168 in 42.4 overs.

All-rounder Muhammad Nawaz, the best player of the last match, could score 27 runs off 35 balls, he was also dismissed by D-Lead.

Pakistan's eighth wicket fell on a total score of 192 when Mohammad Wasim was caught by Edwards off D-Lead for 11 runs.

The ninth player to get out was Zahid Mehmood who was run out after scoring 9 runs.

Pakistan's last wicket fell on 206 runs, Naseem Shah was dismissed for 3 runs.

In the last ODI match, Pakistani captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited the host team captain Edward Scott to field.

Opener Abdullah Shafiq made his debut for Pakistan in the third ODI today, who was included in the team in place of Imam-ul-Haq, who could not play today's match due to ill health.

Earlier on August 18, Pakistan easily defeated the Netherlands by 7 wickets in the second ODI to take a decisive 0-2 lead in the 3-match series.

In the first match of the series, Pakistan defeated the host team by 16 runs thanks to Fakhar Zaman's century.
