After scoring 193 runs for 2 wickets in the important match of the Asia Cup, thanks to the devastating performance of Shadab Khan and other bowlers, Pakistan won the match by the largest margin of 155 runs by dismissing the unknown Hong Kong team for just 38 runs.



In the match being played in Sharjah, Hong Kong captain Nazakat Khan won the toss and decided to field first.

Captain Babar Azam also failed in the second match of the Asia Cup and returned to the pavilion with a total score of 13 after scoring 9 runs.

Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman pushed the score forward playing cautiously and completed the team's half-century in the second ball of the eighth over.

The two experienced batsmen put on a partnership of 116 runs off 81 balls and both completed their half-centuries in the process.

Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for 53 runs off 41 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Khushdil Shah made a responsible start but got very aggressive in the last minute and scored 35 runs off 15 balls with 5 sixes to take the team to a big score.

Pakistan scored 193 runs for 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan faced 57 balls, scored 78 runs with the help of 6 fours and a six, Khushdal Shah scored 35 runs in 15 balls.

As Hong Kong chased down the target, Naseem Shah took the first wicket, getting the opposition captain Nazakat Khan caught by Asif Ali, who scored 8 runs.

A partnership of 16 runs between Nazakat Khan and Yasim Murtaza was the highest partnership of the innings.

Naseem Shah also took the second wicket for 16 runs when the new batsman Babarhiyat opened the account and returned to the pavilion after losing his wickets.

With this success, Pakistan qualified for the next stage of the Asia Cup 2022. Earlier, India had won both matches from Group A and qualified for the next stage.

Mohammad Rizwan was declared the best player of the match for his good performance in batting.

The teams of Pakistan and India will now compete again on September 4.

Earlier Nazakat Khan after winning the toss said that he is confident of achieving the target and the wicket is looking like home ground.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam on the contrary said that he wanted to bat first.
