Defending champions Multan Sultans easily defeated Karachi Kings by 7 wickets in the first match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In the match played at National Stadium Karachi, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan invited Karachi Kings to bat first.
Karachi innings scored 124 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, Sharjeel Khan scored 43 and Joe Clarke scored 26 runs.

Karachi Kings innings started slowly but Babar Azam and Sharjeel shared 66 runs for the first wicket but Sharjeel fell victim to Imran Tahir by scoring 43 runs.
