At the opening ceremony, singers Atif Aslam and Aima Baig evoked the magic of their voices while a 70-year history of Pakistan's cricket was documented on the stadium screen.

Apart from this, the message of Prime Minister Imran Khan to open the league was also shown on the screen in the stadium after which a spectacular fireworks display was held.

It should be noted that the defending champions Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings will compete in the first match of the event.
Karachi Kings will be led by Babar Azam while Multan Sultans will take the field under the captaincy of Muhammad Rizwan.
Due to Corona, only 25% of the spectators on the field are allowed to watch the match.
The match will start at 8 pm Pakistan time.
