Why is there a need for Gender Equality Officer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police?
According to the Human Rights Commission, violence against women and gender discrimination have increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in recent years. The Human Rights Commission reports that women have suffered almost twice as much violence during the two-year Corona epidemic.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, sex-based eunuchs also face negative attitudes. According to the report, more than 75 eunuchs have been killed since 2015, while hundreds have been victims of violence.
According to IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the biggest reason for gender discrimination is lack of awareness.
