A local court in Islamabad has sentenced Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in Noor Muqaddam murder case, to death.
Islamabad District and Sessions Court Judge Ata Rabbani, while delivering the verdict in the case, sentenced the main accused Zahir Jaffer to death.
The court sentenced co-accused Jan Mohammad and Iftikhar to 10 years imprisonment while acquitted all the accused of therapy works. The convicted convict is Iftikhar Chowkidar and convict Jan Mohammad Mali ۔

Case Background
The trial of the nine-time murder case continued for 4 months and 8 days during which the statements of witnesses were recorded, testimonies were recorded and after cross-examination the lawyers gave final arguments after which the court reserved its verdict on February 22.
Noor Muqaddam was assassinated on July 20, 2021
The accused named in the case, Zahir Jaffer, was accused of killing Noor Muqaddam in his house on July 20, 2021. Police arrested Zahir Jaffar in a bloody shirt from his house in Sector F-Seven Islamabad and also recovered a murder weapon.
The police investigation revealed that the main accused Zahir Jafar was in constant touch with his parents Zakir Jafar and Ismat Adam Ji before the incident.
According to the police, the parents contacted the therapy works instead of informing the police. When the therapy works team reached the spot, the accused Zahir Jafar allegedly stabbed and injured the employee of the therapy works, Amjad. There was a murder and a decapitated body.
Police arrested Zahir Jaffer's parents Zakir Jaffer and Ismat Adamji on July 25, five days after the murder, on charges of concealing evidence and aiding and abetting the crime.

CCTV footage of the incident also came to light in which Noor Muqadam was seen jumping from the first floor and trying to get out of the house in an injured condition and Zahir Jafar was seen interfering. The footage also showed employees of the accused who at some point No attempt was made to stop the accused or save Noor Muqaddam.
The formal trial of this case started on October 20, 2021 and consisted of 25 hearings. From the very first appearance, the accused was sometimes involved with the police and sometimes with the judge of the court and kept doing strange and bizarre activities in the court room. The police also tried to bring the accused to the court on a stretcher or wheelchair. The lawyer of the accused also applied for a medical examination which was rejected by the court. However, the medical team of the jail declared Zahir Jaffer physically and mentally fit. Given.
After cross-examination of 19 witnesses, Jafar apparently recanted his confession
After the cross-examination of 19 witnesses was completed, the accused were issued a questionnaire under section 342 of the Criminal Code in which Zahir Jaffar recanted his own confession. The victim was accused of organizing a drug party.
Plaintiff's counsel Shah Khawar told the court that the solid evidence based on CDR, DVR, forensic and DNA in the Noor murder case has been verified by scientific technology.
Prosecutor Rana Hassan said that Zahir Jafar was arrested from the scene with a murder weapon, his shirt was bloody, the court should punish him severely to make it an ideal case.
