In the second eliminator of the 7th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars gave a target of 169 runs to Islamabad United to win.

 

 

Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first in the match being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

 

The innings started by Lahore Qalandars was disappointing and already in the over Fakhruzzaman was dismissed for one run and Dawson also returned to the pavilion for two runs.

 

Thanks to the responsible batting of Abdullah Shafiq, Kamran Ghulam and Muhammad Hafeez, Lahore Qalandars scored 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

 

Abdullah Shafiq scored 52, Kamran 30 and Mohammad Hafeez 28 runs. Liam Dawson and Muhammad Waseem took 2 wickets each for Islamabad United.

Keep in mind that the winner of this match will face Multan Sultans in the final.
