ISLAMABAD: Opposition parties have started signing the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister with their members of the National Assembly.
According to sources, the opposition parties have claimed the support of 24 government members, of which the PML-N and PPP have claimed the support of 6, 6 and JUI has claimed the support of 2 members.
Sources said that the opposition leadership is preparing a motion signed by its 86-member National Assembly while the opposition parties have their own 162 members so the opposition needs 10 more votes.
According to sources, the no-confidence motion is likely to be filed in the second week of March.

LAHORE: An important political meeting was held at the house of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif in which PPP President Asif Ali Zardari and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman participated.
When former president Asif Ali Zardari reached his house to meet PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif, JUI-F and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was already at Shahbaz Sharif's residence where the three leaders met. An important meeting took place.
Opposition leaders were given lunch at the residence of PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif after which the PPP leadership left Shahbaz Sharif's residence. PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari left with the delegation.
According to sources, the meeting of political leaders considered other options including no-confidence motion and long march.
Sources said that the demands of government allies were also discussed during the meeting.
According to sources, the ruling coalition parties are not in favor of immediate new elections, the PPP is also in government.
