Multan Sultans have achieved the biggest success of PSL in terms of runs. Earlier, Multan had set a record by beating Quetta by 110 runs.
Batting first, Multan Sultans gave Quetta a mountain-like target of 246 for victory. In reply, Quetta scored 128 runs in 15.5 overs.
In the HBL PSL match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Multan captain Muhammad Rizwan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Shaun Masood and Mohammad Rizwan have started the innings for the Sultans and both the players gave their team a brilliant start of 119 runs.
Shaun Masood was dismissed for 57 off 38 balls after which Riley Russo came on the wicket and made the Quetta bowlers dance to the tune of a smoky 71 off just 26 balls while captain Mohammad Rizwan remained the leading batsman with 83 runs.
Multan Sultans scored 245 runs for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs which is the highest score of PSL Seven so far.
In reply, Quetta were bowled out for 128 in 15.5 overs. Umar Akmal scored 50 and Jason Roy 38 runs.
Asif Afridi, David Valley, Shahnawaz Dhani and Khushdal Shah took 2.2 wickets each for Multan.
