In the second phase of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators gave Lahore Qalandars a target of 142 runs to win.
In the match being played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Lahore Calendars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and invited Quetta to bat first.
Quetta Gladiators scored 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed remained prominent by scoring 52 runs.

The top order of Quetta Gladiators could not withstand the brilliant bowling of Qalandars, half the team returned to the pavilion for only 54 runs, however, the partnership of 52 runs between Umar Akmal and Iftikhar Ahmed gave credit to the team.
Iftikhar Ahmed was dismissed for 52 off 39 balls while Umar Akmal was dismissed for 25. Besides, Hassan Khan scored 17 runs, thus Quetta scored 141 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
For Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi and David Wise took 2.2 wickets each while Rashid Khan and Haris Rauf took one wicket each.
In terms of points table, Multan Sultans are first, Lahore Qalandars second and Islamabad United third.
Quetta Gladiators are fourth and Peshawar Zalmi is fifth.
It should be noted that in the first match played on Sunday, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings after a one-sided contest.
