Hollywood actor Alec Boldon, 65, has filed a lawsuit after a woman was killed in a shooting incident during the film shooting in October last year.

Alec Boldon opened fire during the shooting on October 21 last year, killing the film's director of photography, Helena Hutchins, 42, and injuring director Joel Souza, 48.
On November 11, 2021, Serge Svetnoy, Rust head of lighting, filed the first civil lawsuit against Alec Boldon in New York State.
Other people have since filed lawsuits against her, and the husband and son of the slain woman also filed lawsuits against the actor in February last year.

According to Reuters, after several lawsuits have been filed against him, Alec Boldon has filed a petition in a US court, in which he has claimed that he cannot be prosecuted under the agreement.
He has argued in his petition that he was not the only producer of 'Rust', other people were also the producers of the film along with him, so the claims for damages cannot be limited to him only.
Alec Boldon argued in the petition that the shooting was accidental and that he could not be named in the case alone.

The husband and minor son of the woman killed in Alec Boldon have also filed a claim for damages and a total of seven damages have been filed against them.
Alec Boldon has denied allegations that he deliberately shot and killed the director, saying he did not know there were real bullets in the weapon.
