Rawalpindi: The first day of the first Test match of the three-match Test series between Pakistan and Australia was won by Pakistan. The Green Caps scored 245 runs for the loss of one wicket.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first on the first day of the Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Abdullah Shafiq and Imam-ul-Haq started the innings for Pakistan and the first loss to the national team was 105 when Abdullah Shafiq was caught by Nathan Lyon in an attempt to hit a six. He played an innings of 44 runs.
Imam-ul-Haq batted brilliantly and scored the first century of his Test career, including two sixes and 13 fours in his innings.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Pakistan captain Babar Azam said that the wicket looks very good and will try to decorate a big total on the scoreboard, the wicket may be favorable for spinners in the last days.
