The PML-Q spokesperson said that no-confidence motion against the Deputy Speaker has been filed by PTI against the Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly. Submitted to the office.

Later, PML-N filed a no-confidence motion against Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The PML-N has taken a stand in the no-confidence motion that the majority of the House has no confidence in Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
He said that the affairs of the province were not being conducted in accordance with the constitution and Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had eradicated democratic traditions.
The no-confidence motion filed against the Speaker Punjab Assembly has the signatures of PML-N members of the Provincial Assembly.
Meeting of the Punjab Assembly
Rejecting the rumors that the important meeting of the Punjab Assembly for the election of the Chief Minister will be held on April 16, the Deputy Speaker stressed that the meeting of the Punjab Assembly will be held today at 7.30 am.

He said that in the light of the orders of the Supreme Court, the meeting of the Provincial Assembly would be held today.

Punjab Assembly spokesman claims
A spokesman for the Punjab Assembly claimed that the assembly session would be convened on April 16, not today.

Spokesman Dr Zain Ali said that the assembly session has been adjourned till April 16 due to repairs.

He stressed that the assembly would convene on April 16.
Meanwhile, the PML-N has said that deviant members of PTI and their own members will gather in front of the Provincial Assembly today and will call for a late assembly session.
Election of Chief Minister of Punjab
Following the resignation of former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on a no-confidence motion last month, a new Chief Minister is needed for the Provincial Assembly, the PML-Q leader said. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been nominated while PML-N has nominated Hamza Shahbaz.

Hamza Shahbaz has the support of deviant members of PTI, Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan groups, which is why he is expected to advance in the race for the post of Chief Minister.

There are 183 members of PTI, 10 members of PML-Q, 165 members of PML-N and 7 members of PPP in the Punjab Assembly.
The decision to win or lose the chief minister's seat depends on the support of Jahangir Tareen, who says he has at least 16 members of the provincial assembly.
