The opposition no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly won with 174 votes.

Earlier, as per the directions of the Supreme Court, during the session of the lower house of parliament on the no-confidence motion, after the announcement of resignation by Speaker Asad Qaiser, PML-N MPA and former Speaker Ayaz Sadiq convened a meeting. The presidency began.
Speaker Asad Qaiser came to the House and told the members that in view of the ground realities I have decided to resign from my post and asked Ayaz Sadiq to continue the proceedings of the meeting as a member of the panel of chairman.
Ayaz Sadiq, as a member of the panel of chairs, presided over the National Assembly session and initiated action on the no-confidence motion moved by the Leader of the Opposition.
Government members walked out of the assembly and vacated the seats.
Ayaz Sadiq ordered to close the doors of the house and said that the sitting has to be adjourned at 12 o'clock as the new day will start and said that voting is being allowed under the order of the Supreme Court.
Ayaz Sadiq read out a no-confidence motion and said that the Prime Minister's House expresses no confidence in Imran Khan.
They began the voting process and adjourned the meeting for two minutes at 12 noon.
After a two minute break, the House resumed its session. After the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat, the national anthem was recited.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Naveed Qamar presented the resolution.
Following the resolution, the members' no-confidence motion was counted.
Ayaz Sadiq announced that 174 members have voted in favor of the no-confidence motion.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that I would like to congratulate the whole of Pakistan and this House that for the first time in Pakistan no-confidence motion has been successful and we have made history.
He said that this house had passed the constitution of 1973 on April 10, 1973. On April 10, 1976, Benazir Bhutto had come to Lahore after ending her exile.
He said that today is April 10, 2022, which we had declared selected and the undemocratic burden we have been carrying for three years. Welcome to old Pakistan today, April 10, 2022.
He said that I have been a member of this House for three to four years and I have learned in these years that I have not seen it in my life. I will give a message to the youth.
Bilawal Bhutto said that democracy is the best revenge.
It may be recalled that earlier the important session of the National Assembly was presided over by Speaker Asad Qaiser.
Before the commencement of the proceedings of the House, Fateha was offered for the deceased mother of Shazia Sobia, a Member National Assembly.
However, after a long break of two hours, when the meeting resumed and was chaired by Amjad Khan Niazi, the leaders from both sides gave long speeches and a 20-minute break was observed for Asr prayers.
The meeting could not start after the break of Asr prayers and it was announced that after Maghrib and Iftar prayers, the meeting on voting on no-confidence motion will start again at 7.30 pm.
Later, the meeting started and was adjourned till 9:30 am after the speeches of Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister Hamad Azhar but the meeting could not be resumed till late.
Before 12 o'clock in the night, Speaker Asad Qaiser came to the House and said that he could not proceed with the proceedings on the basis of the documents received by him and decided to resign from his post.
He left the house announcing his resignation and Ayaz Sadiq took over the presidency of the house.
After the success of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Leader of the Opposition delivered a speech.
Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif congratulated the opposition leadership and members and said that a new dawn was about to dawn.
He said that I salute the leaders of the opposition for their solidarity and in this regard former President Asif Ali Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Akhtar Jan Mengal, Shah Zain Bugti, Haider. Hoti, Khalid Magsi, Aslam Bhootani, Tariq Cheema and the millions and millions of members associated with them are thanked for their sacrifices and for their sacrifices to restore the rule of law today.
