Pakistan trade deficit has increased by 70.14% in 9 months.

According to the trade data of the Bureau of Statistics, the trade deficit reached 35.39 billion dollars in July-March, compared to 20.80 billion dollars in the same period last year.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, imports increased by 48.63% from July to March and the volume of imports during the same period was 58.68 billion dollars as against 39.48 billion dollars in the same period last year.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, exports increased by 24.67% in the first nine months of the current financial year, while exports stood at  23.29 billion in the same period.

According to the statistics agency, exports during the same period last year were 18.68 billion dollars.

In addition, according to the report of the Bureau of Statistics, exports increased by 15.91% on an annual basis in March, while exports declined by 2.84% on a monthly basis in the same period.

According to the statistics agency, exports stood at 74 2.74 billion in March, while the trade deficit widened by 5.48% on an annual basis over the same period.

According to the report of the Bureau of Statistics, the trade deficit increased by 11.63% on a monthly basis in March, while imports increased by 9.86% on an annual basis in the same period.

In March, imports rose 4.72 percent to 6.186 billion, according to the Bureau of Statistics.
