In limited overs cricket, West Indies captain Caron Pollard has announced his retirement from international cricket.

The 34-year-old all-rounder, who is currently representing the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), announced his retirement from international cricket via video on Instagram and a few words on Twitter, according to AFP. What

"After much deliberation, I have decided to retire from international cricket today," he said in a video message.
"From the age of 10, I dreamed of representing the West Indies cricket team and I am proud to represent the West Indies for 15 years in both T20 and ODI formats," said Pollard.
Pollard did not represent the West Indies in Test cricket but made his ODI debut against South Africa in 2007 and played 123 ODIs and 101 T20 Internationals.
He was given the leadership of White Ball Cricket in 2019.

"I still remember the moment I made my debut in 2007 under my childhood hero Brian Lara. It was an honor to wear a maroon jersey and play with great players," Pollard said.
Pollard last represented the West Indies on a tour of India in February this year.
