Former Prime Minister Imran Khan held a prayer function at his residence in Bani Gala on the occasion of 27th Ramadan.

Imran Khan in his speech on the occasion said that the nation which loses its ideology is doomed, unfortunately we could not go to the Pakistan we were supposed to go to, Pakistan had to become a welfare state We had to stand on the principles of the state of Madinah.

Imran Khan said that our freedom was interfered with, conspiracies were hatched from outside, we all have to understand Allama Iqbal dream about Pakistan, we have to understand that Pakistan was not to become an ordinary country, we have to become the state of Madinah. To become a great nation on principles, let the nation pray today that we can break the chains that stand in the way of our freedom.

Later, Maulana Tariq Jameel recited the virtues of Shab-e-Qadr and offered prayers.

Earlier, former Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that he would hold a special prayer function tonight along with Maulana Tariq Jameel for the success of his movement.

In a statement issued on Twitter, Imran Khan said, "Pakistan came into being on 14th August 1947 according to 27th Ramadan."

Imran Khan further wrote, "In these blessed hours of 27th Ramadan, I will join hands with Maulana Tariq Jameel tonight at 10 o'clock in the presence of God Almighty for the success of my movement for true sovereignty and democracy of our beloved homeland Pakistan."

It may be recalled that Imran Khan has been protesting since he was removed from the PM post and he has started a series of rallies. 

 

The last meeting he held was in Lahore where he had asked his workers to offer special prayers on the night of 27th Ramadan and the movement would continue till the real independence movement of the country was successful and elections were declared.

He also said that the workers should be prepared and he would call them to come to Islamabad soon.
