According to a foreign news agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Jeddah on a two-day visit on Thursday at the invitation of Saudi King Salman.

 

According to reports, a statement issued by the Turkish President Office said that the Turkish President will discuss the resumption of bilateral relations in meetings with Saudi officials and increase cooperation with Turkey during his visit to Saudi Arabia.

 

According to the news agency, the Turkish President has paid his first visit to Saudi Arabia since 2017 because of the strained relations between the two countries after the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashkji in 2018.
