Hearing of petition against Sheikh Rashid
Earlier, Islamabad District Sessions Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra heard a petition seeking registration of a case against former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid.
The court issued notices to the parties and sought reply by May 14.

The petition against Sheikh Rashid was filed by citizen Hafiz Ehtesham, in which it was stated that when Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced to perform Umrah with the cabinet, Sheikh Rashid said in a press conference that wherever the people would go, The thief will say.
The petition said that even in Haram Sharif, people would call Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his cabinet thieves.
He pleaded with the court that Sheikh Rashid had incited the mob to commit such a heinous act and therefore the court should order registration of a case against Sheikh Rashid.
