Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed his full support for Afghanistan at the regional conference, saying that the Afghan people want a peaceful, stable, developed and prosperous Afghanistan.

According to the Associated Press, Xi Jinping pledged China support for Afghanistan in a message to a gathering of representatives from Afghanistan, China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It highlights China desire to play a leading role in the country after the US withdrawal.

Xi Jinping said that the Afghan people want a peaceful, stable, developed and prosperous Afghanistan that protects the common interests of the regional countries as well as the international community.
He said in his message to the gathering at Tonshi, a tourism industry hub in Anhui Province, that China has always respected Afghanistan sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and is committed to supporting Afghanistan peaceful and stable development. ۔
The Chinese president did not give further details, but said China had already sent emergency aid to Afghanistan and was working to develop copper mining there.
China strictly adheres to its policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, while China, the United States and Russia's special envoys to Afghanistan are currently meeting in Tunisia.
