Chairman Central Route Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad has said that no credible evidence of sighting of Shawwal moon has been received from any part of Pakistan. Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3 in the country.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Chairman Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee announced that Shawwal moon will not be visible tomorrow and said that tomorrow will be the 30th fast and it was decided by consensus that Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Tuesday, May 3.
Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad said that we are trying to further strengthen the committee as a platform of unity and solidarity and carry forward the message of this unity while in future also our effort will be to move forward together.
A meeting of the Central Route Hilal Committee was held in Pakistan to observe the new moon of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram 1443 AH.
The meeting of Central Route Hilal Committee was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad.
Similarly, meetings of Zonal and District Route Hilal Committees were held at their respective headquarters.
Earlier, members of the committee in Karachi said that no moon was seen anywhere in the city and the final decision would be announced by the chairman of the committee from Islamabad.

On the other hand, according to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesman Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, May 2.
He said that 130 evidences of sighting of the moon have been received from all over the province, therefore the provincial government decided to officially celebrate Eid on Monday.
He said that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated with religious fervor all over the province tomorrow.
Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted that the possibility of a moon sighting on Sunday was highly unlikely.
Shawwal moon was not seen in Arab and Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia yesterday and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2022 in these countries.
