Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan against talking about partition of Pakistan, disqualifying him from holding public office.
The warning was given by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a Twitter post which referred to Imran Khan's interview with Sami Ibrahim, anchor person of private channel Bol News' program 'Analysis'.
In the interview, the former prime minister urged the establishment to make the right decisions and warned that if Pakistan lost its nuclear capability, the country would be divided into three parts.

Hours after the interview aired, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif responded on Twitter, saying "Imran Niazi is making threats against the country at a time when I am signing agreements in Turkey."
He said that if any proof was needed that Imran Niazi was ineligible for public office, then his latest interview was enough.

He warned the PTI chairman to "do your politics but never dare to talk of transgression and partition of Pakistan".
In a separate statement issued from the PML-N's Twitter account, the prime minister said that Imran's remarks were proof that the PTI chief was involved in a conspiracy and not politics.
He said that Imran Khan was spreading chaos due to his frustration and sick mentality and his statement was similar to that of the enemies of Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that this was not just a statement but a conspiracy to ignite chaos and division in the country.
"Losing power does not mean you have to fight against Pakistan, its allies and its institutions," he added.
He warned Imran Khan not to attack the federal and national institutions and not to go beyond the limits set by law and constitution.
The Prime Minister said that the nation would not accept such nefarious schemes at any cost and would not allow them to succeed. He vowed to defeat such nefarious aims.
Asif Zardari directs protest against Imran Khan's statement
Earlier, a statement shared by the party's co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on the PPP's official Twitter account condemned Imran Khan's remarks.
In the statement, Asif Zardari said that no one can talk about the dismemberment of Pakistan, it is not the language of any Pakistani but the language of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Asif Zardari criticized the PTI chief and said, “Imran Khan! Power is not everything in this world, be brave and learn politics by standing on your own two feet.

Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique also condemned Imran Khan's statement in his tweets and said that Pakistan's nuclear program is more secure in the hands of those who started it and conducted nuclear tests.
He asked Imran to explain what correct decisions the army needed to make.
He said that the policy of hatred, revenge and division of incompetent PTI had brought the country to the brink of disaster. Imran Niazi has been engaged in conspiracies against democracy since 2011 for personal power.

Protest in the Senate over Imran Khan's statement
Imran Khan's remarks were also echoed in the Senate in which Senator Asif Kirmani said that Imran has 'bipolar disorder', such patients are treated with electric shock.
Addressing the House, Law Minister Nazir Tarar said that Imran Khan's remarks had created a sense of unrest in the country.
He said such a statement could not be made by a person holding the highest public office in Pakistan unless there was a "conspiracy".

PPP leader Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Imran Khan's statements were not appropriate as a former prime minister and the country's chief executive.
