Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General (DG) of Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), has said that the agency would extend full cooperation if a Judicial Commission or any other forum is formed on the issue of the letter.
Talking to anchor person Mohammad Malik on Hum News program 'Breaking with Malik', Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar said that he did not make any political statement during an interview yesterday.
Explaining his point, he said that the DG ISPR had said that he had only given an explanatory statement from the services chiefs of the Pakistan Army. He said in a statement that none of the service chiefs at the National Security Committee meeting had said there was a conspiracy.
The Pakistan Army spokesman added that Sheikh Rashid spoke in his speech as if he was speaking on his behalf, so I thought it necessary to go to the same program and explain it. Because I am their spokesperson regarding the service chiefs and if any such thing is said about them then it is my responsibility to explain it.
The DG ISPR further said that therefore there is no political point in my statement and what I explained was that the service chiefs and DG ISI in this meeting were very clear. It was made very clear by the party that no evidence of any kind of conspiracy was found. I spoke on this very clearly yesterday. There was an explanatory statement from me, there was nothing political in it.
The Pakistan Army spokesman said that this was a matter of national security and that is why all the service chiefs and DG ISI were also invited to the meeting. There is a forum, when it is called there, its agenda is explained in advance why the meeting is taking place.
He further said that all participants, especially the three service chiefs and DG ISI, take their input to attend such meetings and that the input is based on intelligence information. That is not an opinion, today he said that it is his opinion, it is our opinion.
The DG ISPR stressed that I can tell you from the services chiefs that this was not an opinion, it was information based on intelligence information. Pitt was given, so the political leadership present at the meeting did not include the word conspiracy in the declaration of the meeting after that.
He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
The Pakistan Army spokesman added that the present government should form a judicial commission or any commission to take the matter to its logical conclusion if it can. The previous government also had this option while this government also had The authority is there and if the government forms a commission or forum on this issue, the institution will provide all the required facilities and cooperation in this regard.
Earlier, Asad Umar, general secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had said that if the DG ISPR did not consider it necessary to explain political issues again and again, it would be good for the army and the country. Would be good for
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad with party leader Shirin Mazari, Asad Umar had said that one of the leaders of the military had said in an interview that facts and opinions should be looked at separately and that he had given them on behalf of the United States. I also read two or four sentences from the threatening letter.
He said that this was stated in a press release issued after the two meetings of the National Security Committee in which the words 'external interference' were clearly used and it was stated that Not even acceptable.
The PTI leader had said that there was no response in the National Security Committee meeting that the conspiracy was not for any major change and the Director General of ISPR was even correct in saying that the military leadership Some of them said in the meeting that they did not see any evidence of external conspiracy.
Asad Umar had further said that our appeal is still to form a Judicial Commission on this issue which should have an open hearing and the whole of Pakistan should see who is talking and what evidence is being presented. Decide on the basis that there was indeed an external conspiracy and if there was a conspiracy then who was involved in it and all those facts should be brought before the nation.
