Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan wants peaceful relations with India and a solution to the Kashmir issue and urged the international community to play its role in resolving the issue.
According to a report published in Mak News-21, in a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, it was said that Shahbaz Sharif expressed these views during a meeting with the new High Commissioner of Australia in Pakistan, Neil Hawkins.

In the statement, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan wants peaceful relations with India based on principles of equality, justice and mutual respect. The solution is inevitable.
He said that the international community has to play the role of facilitator in this regard as it is necessary for sustainable peace and stability in South Asia.
Shahbaz Sharif also highlighted Pakistan's cooperation with the international community especially since August last year in the context of the situation in Afghanistan.

The Australian High Commissioner expressed his desire to further strengthen bilateral relations and expressed his sincere gratitude for Pakistan's role as a facilitator in the safe evacuation of its citizens and others from Afghanistan.
He thanked the Prime Minister for his welcome and vowed to further broaden and diversify the existing relationship between Australia and Pakistan.
