Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the police did not allow us to meet Shahbaz Gul despite court orders and alleged that Gul had been 'sexually assaulted'.

Speaking to the media outside Pims Hospital in Islamabad, Imran Khan said that despite the orders of the court, the police blocked our way and did not allow us to meet Shahbaz Gul.

He said that my first question is from whom the police are taking orders, are they not concerned about court orders.

Imran Khan said that the next question is whether there is rule of law or rule of stick.

The former prime minister said that tomorrow I am holding a rally for Shahbaz Gul in Islamabad, I invite the people of Islamabad that if such violence can happen to a political worker, it can happen to anyone.

He said that for one Shahbaz Gul and ARWAI News is being shut down only because they show us, the media in this country is being shut down and the people are being threatened and tortured to impose the thieves on us. Is.

He said that it is better not to live than their slavery, we will never accept the slavery of these thieves.

Chairman PTI said that Tehreek-e-Insaf rallies will be held tomorrow at all divisional headquarters.

Imran Khan had earlier reached Pims to visit Shehbaz Gul where he was not allowed to enter the hospital.

Islamabad Police said in a statement that "accused Shehbaz Shabbir has been transferred to Pims Hospital, Islamabad Capital Police has made adequate security arrangements in the hospital".

The police said that additional personnel have also been deployed in the hospital, the accused is not on physical remand and meeting with the accused is not allowed.

Officials familiar with the matter told Dawn.com on condition of anonymity that PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry spoke to the police team and was told that the party representative should get permission from the court to meet Shahbaz Gul. Come do it.

'Shehbaz Gul was also sexually assaulted'

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has alleged that Shahbaz Gul was subjected to sexual abuse including mental and physical torture during detention, which is evident in photographs and videos.

In a statement on the social networking site Twitter, Imran Khan said that "all the pictures and videos clearly show that Gill was subjected to sexual abuse, including both mental and physical violence, which is extremely horrific."

He said that they were targeted to break them, now I have complete information, Islamabad police say they were not involved in any violence.

Imran Khan said that 'my question is who did the violence on Gul, there is a general impression in the public and our minds as well that who can do the terrible violence'.

He said, "Remember, the public will react, we will spare no effort to expose those responsible and bring them to justice."

Government response

Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb while talking to Geo News said that Imran Khan did not have the permission of the court to meet Shehbaz Gul in PIMS.

He said that all this is being done to divert attention from Shahbaz Gul.

He said that PTI leaders are facing investigation, you can hold a rally but the rules cannot be changed for you.

On a question regarding Imran Khan's sexual assault allegations, he said that a medical board was formed, which declared the PTI leader fit.

Maryam Aurangzeb asked if the 13 doctors were lying, why no sign of torture was found in the medical reports.

He said that Imran Khan should present evidence of his claims otherwise it is not true.

Ethical limits were crossed to torture Shehbaz Gul, Babra Awan
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan had said that national morality and Shariah boundaries were crossed for the torture of detained leader Shehbaz Gul, while Imran Khan himself would go to visit him.

While holding a press conference along with other PTI leaders in Islamabad, Babar Awan said that Shehbaz Gul is an asset of PTI.

He said that we believe that Shahbaz Gul is a man for PTI who did not hesitate to sacrifice everything, despite being a green card holder, he came to Pakistan from abroad to advance the agenda of Imran Khan. .

He said that 'new information and evidence have come to the knowledge of the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, if national etiquette had not come in the way of speaking and Shariah ethics had not come in, then he would have told about the crime committed against him'. .

He said that this does not happen in Jammu either, the Geneva Convention prohibits this behavior, such a bad and heinous incident of custodial violence has never happened in the history of Pakistan.

Babarawan said that 'we have also received information that some international organizations that work for human rights have the details, the representatives of these organizations also have those details'.

He said that 'I have said this in the court that what greater psychological tactic can be used for a man than to strip him naked'.

He said that 'the other side of this is that Islamabad Police made a tweet today and issued an advertisement yesterday that the police come to the police station to witness the crimes that took place in the lock-up of the police station. There can be no greater joke than this'.

He said that it is an international law that no party can be a judge in his own case, those policemen who committed violence are the accused of the entire Pakistani nation, national morality and Sharia limits, instead of taking action against them. They should tell the people who else wants to speak, against whom we should take action.

Talking about the statement of the police, he said that 'we reject it, we will not accept any investigation of the head of the institution where the violence took place'.

He said that a board was formed regarding this violence, it issued a report, but to change this report, the board of PIMS was changed and the report was changed to create a report that hides these crimes. Be helpful'.

Babarawan said that Asad Umar's application was filed in the Islamabad High Court in this regard and we have given arguments.

He said that 'Imran Khan has expressed serious concern in this regard, we understand that the custodial violence that took place, the purpose of which was to force and break Shahbaz Gul against Imran Khan and for this all moral, Tactics were used that crossed legal and constitutional boundaries and violated regulations'.

Babra Awan said that 'Imran Khan is going to the hospital himself to meet Shahbaz Gul and visit him, he is our asset, we will not stop here'.

He said that 'Imran Khan himself will lead a rally tomorrow for the release of Shahbaz Gul, we will not let anyone be under the misconception that the Left will do so after the May 25 accused and the violence of Shahbaz Gul. do not have'.

He said that 'we have other options, which we will use, a mini-Hitler has come here and that Hitler sits in the Prime Minister's House'.

Earlier yesterday, the Islamabad High Court had sought a report from the Inspector General (IG) of Police Islamabad on the alleged torture of Shahbaz Gul during custody.

Today, the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad suspended the request of the Islamabad Police to extend the remand of Shehbaz Gill and ordered him to undergo a medical examination and submit a report while sending him to Pims Hospital.

The court said that the investigating officer sought permission from the PIMS management to conduct an investigation at the facility but his request was rejected.

Shehbaz Gul's controversial statement

On August 9, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) issued a show-cause notice to the private TV channel 'ARY' News for airing a comment by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's spokesperson Shehbaz Gul in its show, which said: that his statement 'was tantamount to inciting feelings of mutiny in the ranks of the armed forces'.

During a conversation with ARY, Dr Shahbaz Gul alleged that the government is trying to incite the lower and middle ranks of the army against Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

He said that the families of the officers posted in these positions in the army support Imran Khan and his party, which increases the anger of the government.

He had also alleged that the 'strategic media cell' of the ruling Muslim League-N was spreading misinformation and fake news to create a rift between PTI chief Imran Khan and the armed forces.

Shahbaz Gul said that other government leaders including Javed Latif, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and former National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had criticized the army in the past and now they are in government positions.

The notice from PEMRA said that the statement given by the guest on ARY News is a violation of Article 19 of the Constitution as well as PEMRA rules.
