Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that national team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is leaving for London today where he will complete his rehabilitation from injury.
In a statement issued by the PCB, it was said that the medical officer of the board, Dr. Najibullah Soomro, says that Shaheen Shah Afridi needs the supervision of a specialist doctor and that London has the best sports medical and rehabilitation facilities available in the world. So in the best interest of the player we have decided to send him there.

He said that information and feedback will be provided to the medical department on a daily basis during his treatment in London and we are hopeful that Shaheen Shah Afridi will make a full recovery before the T20 World Cup.
According to PCB, while in London, Shaheen Afridi will be under the supervision of PCB's Medical Advisory Panel, which also includes London-based Dr. Umtiaz Ahmed and Dr. Zafariqbal.
