Two national boxers who were part of Pakistan's Commonwealth Games squad went missing in the UK after the Games ended.



Pakistan Boxing Federation has confirmed the sudden disappearance of 2 Pakistani boxers and said that both boxers have gone missing in Birmingham and the federation is searching for them.

According to the Pakistan Boxing Federation, 63 kg Sulaiman Baloch and light heavyweight boxer Nazirullah have suddenly disappeared after the games, while the travel documents of both boxers are with the authorities of the boxing federation.

As per the schedule, Pakistani boxing team will reach Islamabad today.

Secretary Pakistan Boxing Federation Nasir Ting said that both boxers have been missing for the last two hours, but all travel documents have been seized as per SOPs.

He said that the British government and the police have been informed in this regard and will trace the two boxers soon.

The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has formed a 4-member committee to investigate the matter.

It should be noted that in the 12-day Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, UK, Pakistan won 2 gold medals, Noah Dastgir Butt in weightlifting and Arshad Nadeem in javelin throw won gold medals, in addition, national athletes won 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. Also received medals.

In the closing ceremony, the hosting of Commonwealth Games 2026 was officially handed over to the state of Victoria, Australia.
