Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has agreed to go to the female judge and apologize for the statement made about Additional Judge Zeba Chaudhry, on which the Islamabad High Court indicted him. Action postponed.
A 5-member bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri and Justice Babar Sattar headed by Chief Justice Athar Minullah of Islamabad High Court heard the contempt of court case.
In the hearing held on September 8, the Supreme Court decided to indict Imran Khan on September 22.
At the beginning of today's hearing, Chairman PTI Imran Khan appeared in the court, during the hearing the court summoned Imran Khan to the rostrum.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court told Imran Khan's lawyer that Hamid Khan sir, sit down, today we have to charge against Imran Khan, to which Hamid Khan said that Imran Khan wants to talk about something, he should be allowed. .
On this, the court allowed to talk and said that yes Imran Khan should talk, Imran Khan said that I wanted to talk but was not allowed to talk in the last hearing, I am ready to go to the lady judge and ask for forgiveness. , sorry if I crossed any red line.
After Imran Khan agreed to pardon, the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court remarked that it would not be appropriate for us to take contempt of court proceedings.
Chief Justice Athar Minullah said that the court is stopping the process of indicting Imran Khan.

Imran Khan said during the hearing that no one but me says this, the court feels that I crossed my limit, there was no intention to threaten the lady judge.
The court remarked that Imran Khan should submit an affidavit within a week, it will be your personal decision to go to the lady judge or not, if you realize the mistake and are ready to apologise, that is enough.
Imran Khan said that if the court says, I am ready to go and apologize in front of the lady judge, I assure you that I will not do anything like that in the future.
Chief Justice said that this court will record your statement, Imran Khan said that apart from sworn statement, is there any option to satisfy the court? On which Chief Justice Athar Minullah said that no, you have to submit an affidavit, submit an affidavit of what you said, what you said was not what this court asked you to say.
Along with this, the Islamabad High Court gave Imran Khan time till September 29 to submit the affidavit and postponed the hearing of the case till October 3.

Circular issued for indictment proceedings
The registrar of the Islamabad High Court had issued a circular of code of conduct regarding the appearance of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the contempt of court case yesterday.
It was stated in the circular that the larger bench will hear the case on September 22 (tomorrow) at 2.30 pm.

According to the circular, entry into Courtroom No.1 will be subject to a pass issued by the Registrar's Office.
The circular further said that 15 lawyers of Imran Khan's legal team will be able to be present in the courtroom.
According to the circular, 15 legal officers from the Attorney General's Office and Advocate General's Office will be allowed to visit the court, along with 3 judicial assistants.
In the circular issued by the Islamabad High Court, it was further stated that 15 court reporters will be allowed to be present in the courtroom.

According to the circular, 5.5 lawyers from the High Court and District Bar will also be allowed to sit in the court during the hearing.

The circular said that Islamabad administration and police will make security arrangements to maintain court decorum.
It should be noted that on September 8, 2022, the Islamabad High Court decided to indict Imran Khan for contempt of court on the statement made by Additional Judge Zeba Chaudhry and postponed the hearing till September 22.
Case against Imran Khan
It should be noted that on August 20, a case was registered against former Prime Minister Imran Khan under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Margalla police station on the complaint of Ali Javed, the magistrate of Sadar area of Islamabad.

In the FIR, it was said that on August 20, a rally was held under the leadership of Imran Khan against the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehbaz Gill from Zero Point to F9 Park, during which Imran Khan's speech began. He started intimidating and threatening the top officers of the Islamabad Police and a respected lady Additional Judge.
In his address to the rally, Imran Khan threatened to file a case against the IG and DIG of Islamabad Police and said, "We will not leave you."
After that, he also warned the judiciary for having a biased attitude towards his party and said that now they should also prepare for the results.
