The Indian Defense Ministry has said that the withdrawal of troops from the disputed border with China will be completed by September 12.
According to the news of the foreign news agency 'Reuters', the decision to recall the troops from the disputed border between the two countries has come after 2 years of tension, during which there were deadly clashes between the armies of the two countries. In which many soldiers of both countries were killed.
Indian and Chinese troops yesterday began withdrawing from the Gogra-Hot Springs area in the western Himalayas following a deadly clash between the two countries' forces in the disputed region of Ladakh in 2020.

The move to withdraw troops comes ahead of a meeting in Uzbekistan next week where Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to attend.
India's External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arndam Bagchi said in a statement that the two countries have agreed to non-deployment on the front lines in the region in a phased, coordinated and verified manner.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a result of this agreement, the armies of both sides will return to their respective areas.

He said that according to the agreement, all the temporary constructions established by the soldiers of both countries in the region will also be dismantled.
There is a 3,800 km long border between India and China where the soldiers of both the countries were following the age-old protocol of not using any firearms.
In 2020, at least 20 Indian and 4 Chinese soldiers were killed in armed clashes with each other.
This bloody clash between the soldiers of the two countries took place in Galwan area of Ladakh.

This border region is known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
A spokesman for the Indian Defense Ministry said the agreement would ensure that both sides of the LAC in the region would strictly abide by it.
According to the Indian Ministry of Defense, both countries will respect the LAC, while no unilateral changes will be made regarding the 'status quo' of the region.
