The world's largest social media and application network 'Meta' is likely to introduce new paid features on its popular website Facebook, instant messaging app WhatsApp and social sharing application Instagram.

Currently, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have very special features that are paid for by users, but these features are for businesses and organizations.

However, some features will now be charged for general users as well.

According to technology website 'The Verge', Meta has created a division called 'New Monetization Experience' which will look after features that are introduced in exchange for money.

The function of the said division will be to inform the customers about the features and provide them with information about the payment schedule and policy.

The report said that the introduction of certain features on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp in return for money was revealed in a letter sent to the top executives of the company some time ago.

The report quoted a top Meta official as saying that the paid features are likely to be introduced by 2024.

It is not yet clear what kind of features the company will introduce in exchange for money, but it is possible that such features will be introduced, through which users will be able to easily correct the wrong message or post later. Posts will be given access to more people.

According to the company officials, the purpose of introducing the said features is to increase the company's earnings and that Facebook's rival companies have also introduced such features.
