Pakistan cricket team's fast bowler Shahnawaz Dhani suffered an injury before the second match against India in Asia Cup 2022.
According to the announcement made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shahnawaz Dhani will not be available for the match against India in the Super Four phase of the Asia Cup T20.

The statement said that Shahnawaz Dhani is feared to be suffering from a side strain, due to which he will not participate in the match against India.
Regarding the injury of the fast bowler, it was reported that he suffered an injury while bowling in the match against Hong Kong in Sharjah yesterday.
The PCB explained that in case of side strain injury, the medical team will evaluate them for the next 48 to 72 hours and take a decision after that.
The statement said that the medical team will take further decisions including a scan to decide on the journey of the fast bowler in the tournament.

It should be noted that Pakistan defeated the entire team of Hong Kong in Sharjah by 155 runs by dismissing them for just 38 runs.
In the match, Shahnawaz Dhani bowled only two overs and did not give any runs in one over, but got one wicket by giving 7 runs.
Shahnawaz Dhani did not take any wicket in the match against India on August 28 and conceded 29 runs in the quota of 4 overs.
India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the match after an interesting contest.

Pakistan qualified for the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup by defeating Hong Kong yesterday and now the two teams will face each other for the second time in the tournament on Sunday.
