Talking to media after attending the dinner of PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed about the joint statement.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition against the Prime Minister was a manifestation of the aspirations of the people and the aspirations of 22 crore people.

 

He said that instead of confronting this constitutional measure in constitutional, legal, parliamentary and democratic spheres, the incompetent Prime Minister and his government have resorted to unconstitutionality and disorder.

He said that open threats were being made to stop the members of National Assembly from entering the house. That the government should not take the path of corruption, anarchy and confrontation and should not become a rebel against the constitution.

He said that under the Constitution, the members of the National Assembly have the basic duty and right to perform their constitutional, democratic and parliamentary duties freely. can go.

He said that depriving the members of the Assembly of their responsibilities was tantamount to sabotaging the Constitution of Pakistan, the punishment of which is clearly stated in Article 6 of the Constitution.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the long march announced by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on March 23 was formally announced by the people across the country, all parties involved in the PDM and their workers and I ask the workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam to leave for Islamabad on March 23 from all corners of the country.

He said that this would be a grand demonstration of history on the highway constitution in which all members of parliament would be provided full cover to reach the house safely and exercise their vote.

He said that the bullying, rigging language being used by this illegitimate and incompetent government is to silence this language, to push back these threats and to tell them that Pakistan is not yours, Pakistan belongs to us and the whole nation.

Addressing the government, he said who are you trying to stop the constitutional move of the parliament through your workers and a few guerrillas.

"In this regard, we have to decide whether the long march of March 23 reaches 24 or how long it lasts but people should be ready till the no-confidence motion, maybe they will stay in Islamabad during that time," he said. Will

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Awami National Party (ANP) and NDM were participating exclusively and hoped that they would also formally announce their acceptance.

On the other hand, the statement said that the PPP leadership accepted the invitation with gratitude and assured full participation in the meeting.

He said that in today's meeting it was clearly warned that the Constitution of Pakistan obliges the Speaker to convene the meeting for a fixed and clear period.

He said that it was the constitutional duty of the Speaker to convene a meeting of the National Assembly within 14 days after the recusal and to hold a vote of no confidence in the House within 7 days. And they will commit treason against the constitution and laws.

He said that the meeting had warned that the first agenda item in the meeting of the National Assembly convened under Rule 37 (8) of the Parliamentary Rules was to present the 'No-confidence motion'. It will be considered a clear violation of the rules.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the United Opposition has strongly demanded from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that an immediate decision be taken in the foreign funding case, in which Imran Khan Niazi and his party from the verified record of the State Bank. It has already been seven years since the conviction, so the verdict should be issued on March 15, 2022, fulfilling the requirements of law and justice.

According to a joint statement, Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, former president Asif Ali Zardari, chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, leaders of opposition parties Aimal Wali Khan, Amir Haider Khan Hoti and Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal were present at the meeting. 

 Mohsin Dawar, Allama Sajid Mir, Sahibzada Owais Noorani and leaders of other parties in PDM participated with the delegations. Amir Kabir represented National Party and Senator Sardar Shafiq Tareen represented Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.
