According to Reuters, a foreign news agency published in the Dawn newspaper, North Korean state media said that a military parade was organized on Monday night to mark the 90th anniversary of the North Korean Armed Forces. had gone.

North Korea has recently stepped up its weapons tests and demonstrations of military might as nuclear disarmament talks with the United States stall and a new conservative administration is taking power in South Korea.


According to North Korean media, Kim Jong Un, addressing the gathering, said that the nuclear powers of our republic should be fully prepared to carry out their responsible mission and mobilize their unique resistance at any time.

He said the main mission of North Korea nuclear forces is to resist, but its use can never be limited to a single target.

"If anyone violates the fundamental interests of our state, our nuclear powers must decisively carry out another unexpected mission," Kim Jong Un added.

Footage released on North Korean state media shows Kim Jong Un, dressed in white emperor-style clothing, shaking hands with senior officials during a parade of North Korea largest ballistic missile, the Huasang 17, with a smile.

The North Korean missile was unveiled in 2020 and was first tested last month, but Seoul officials believe it exploded in mid-air.
