At least six people were killed and at least 10 others were injured in a shooting at a public place in Sacramento, California, on Sunday morning.

California police are searching for a suspect in a Sunday morning shooting at a public place in Sacramento, California, according to the Associated Press. Six people were killed in the shooting. Killed and 10 others were injured.
Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester told a news conference that police were patrolling the area around 2 a.m. when gunfire was heard in the area.
He added that when police arrived at the scene, they saw that the road was congested and six people were lying dead on the ground.

Police said that 10 people were also injured in the incident and they were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment but no information was given about the condition of the injured.
Authorities do not know if a single person was involved in the shooting, but police are seeking help from the public to find those responsible.
Police Chief Kathy Lester did not provide any details about the weapons used in the incident.
He said it was a "very complex and serious situation" and called on the public to help, including those who had recorded eyewitness accounts of the incident.

A video posted on Twitter shortly after the shooting showed people running off the road at the sound of gunfire, and several ambulances can be seen at the scene.
Sacramento Mayor Daryl Steinberg said on Twitter: "Words cannot express my shock and sadness. It is difficult to know the number of dead and injured."
"We are waiting for more information on what happened in this tragic incident," he said.
The administration has asked citizens to refrain from visiting the area, which has a large number of restaurants and bars, including a London nightclub.

Harris, 32, said she was asleep when a family member called to say she thought her brother had been killed.
K. Harris said that she has visited the club a few times and called it a popular place for young people.
He said that bars and clubs in the area close at 2 am and it is normal for the streets to be crowded at this time. ۔

Barry Eckes, a social worker, said police had cordoned off the streets around the club and that they had arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting.
"The first thing I saw was like a victim, I saw a young girl with blood on her body, a girl pulling a piece of glass out of her body," he said.
